Online Safety Group

The Online Safety Parent Team supports our ongoing work to keep children safe online. The group meets each session to discuss recent concerns and any relevant changes in current technology. Together, they have contributed to:

• Identifying and sharing online safety concerns, and planning appropriate next steps.

• Reviewing and strengthening the school’s Online Safety Policy.

The Safer Schools Scotland app, launched in the 2024–2025 school year and promoted during Online Safety Week, helps make key information about staying safe online easier for everyone to access. It’s a digital safeguarding tool that supports pupils, parents, and staff with tailored safety guidance, anonymous reporting, and expert‑led resources to navigate digital risks confidently.  Please see the 'Quick Start Guide' below for support in gaining access to the app.
