JUNIOR ROAD SAFETY OFFICERS

We are selected at the beginning of each school session.  Pupils from P4-7 apply for a place and go through the interview process before being selected to become a member.  Each year the Primary 6 members automatically become the leaders when they enter Primary 7 and conduct the interviews.  We:

• Raise awareness of the importance of Road Safety

• Organise Walk On Wednesday and Walk on Friday

• Create and deliver presentations for P1-3 to share the Road Safety message

• Do spot checks in the school carpark and around the school to encourage people to park safely.

• Have the opportunity to work in partnership with Police Road Safety Officers; using speed cameras and engaging with the public to promote awareness of the speed limit through the village and to promote safer driving.
